The problem

Our animals cannot tell us what is wrong. The information that would help — what they are allergic to, what they are being treated for, when they were last vaccinated — is split between a vet’s system, a folder somewhere and memory. None of it is to hand at the moment it matters.

The idea

Keep it in one place, and put a door to it on the collar. A record is only useful if the person holding the animal can reach it, and that person is often not the owner.

What we built

A mobile app holding an animal’s health record, paired with a QR collar tag. The app is for the owner; the tag is for whoever finds them.

How it works

The owner builds the record over time — vaccinations, treatments, medication, the notes that matter. Each animal gets a unique QR code for their collar. Anyone who finds them can scan it with an ordinary phone and reach the information needed to help, without an app and without an account.

Key functionality

  1. 01

    Health Records

Vaccinations, treatments, medication and the details that are impossible to remember under pressure.

  2. 02

    Medical History

A record that builds over time and can be reached when it is actually needed.

  3. 03

    Emergency Information

The important things available quickly, at the moment something has gone wrong.

  4. 04

    Smart QR Collars

A unique code for your animal, on their collar, linked to the information that helps.

Why it matters

The everyday value is having it in one place. The real value is the day something goes wrong, when the difference between a stranger holding a lost animal and a stranger holding a phone number is a code on a collar.

If they are ever lost, a simple scan brings up the information someone needs to help get them home.
